Morgan Amarone

Author: Morgan Amarone is a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a B.S. in Accounting and is currently a graduate student pursuing a MBA in Healthcare Management. While at Quinnipiac, Morgan performed with the Quinnipiac’s Dance Company and served as an Officer on the dance company’s Executive Board.

As Miss Southington 2011, Morgan is dedicated to her platform, "The Power of Pink: Cancer Education and Awareness". Morgan has traveled the State of Connecticut participating in events with American Cancer Society, including lobbying at the capitol and speaking to middle school and high school students to educate them about cancer awareness and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. Madison’s Journey was developed to be used as a tool to help youth understand the importance of giving support to cancer patients and to understand the disease with a focus on how they can help.

In June 2011, Morgan was crowned Miss Connecticut America and will continue her platform as she journeys to compete for the title of Miss America in January 2012 in Las Vegas.
