Maine Driverís License Suspensions, Revocations and Related Off.

Maine Driverís License Suspensions, Revocations and Related Offenses (non-OUI) surveys the statutes, administrative rules and cases that bear on this area of Maine Law. † The complex interplay between court actions and actions of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and their effects on a personís driverís license status are not always clearly anticipated or understood by those facing motor vehicle offenses, their attorneys, or the judges and justices who sentence them. † This book examines the various grounds for license suspensions and revocations, ways to avoid a suspension or revocation, and forms of relief available for those whose licenses are suspended or revoked. † The book also examines elements of proof, and constitutional issues involved in establishing those elements, for the offenses of operating without a license, operating beyond license restriction, operating after suspension, operating after habitual offender revocation and aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation. 2016 edition.
