Deb Landry is the author of the best selling children’s book, Sticks Stones and Stumped, Yankee Go Home, and the co-author of The Comfort Zone with Meline Kevorkian Ed.D., and Robin D’Antona, Ed.D. She is a parenting coach specializing in social awareness behaviors and character education and has authored several interactive children’s mentoring plays on character education, social awareness, and bullying prevention. She was also part of the team that authored the Maine State Best Practices in Bullying and Harassment Prevention Manual and lobbied for the new legislation in the State of Maine.
Deb is the co-founder, President/CEO and former Executive Director of Crossroads Youth Center, a non profit performing art based after school program, a facilitator for Real Life ─ Real Talk™ and a certified Qi Gong Facilitator.
Deb’s currently collaborating with Designer Kim Parrish on their book The Snapdragon Princess, due to be released in August 2009.
A mother of four and grandmother of three, Deb spent 21 years in healthcare administration and 12 years as an after school director, freelance writer and as a children’s author. She passionately shares her expertise through trainings, lectures, workshops, books, author visits, and her parent coaching practice.
With recognition and several awards for her work , Deb has been interviewed and featured on NBC, CBS, national radio, and several publications including USA Weekend Magazine, Raising Maine Magazine, Seventeen Magazine, Women’s Day Magazine, and Child Magazine.
